In a short time I hope to Combine with it the Carbon Printing, which will then ensure permanency to this Beautiful Style of Portraiture. 1659 NORWICH UNION LITE INSURANCE SOCIETY. Empowered by Special Acts of Parliament And by Royal Charter in the reign of Queen Anne, to undertake all business connected with Life Assurance. A NELSON AGENCY is now established, and the undersigned is prepared to receive proposals. IT IS A PURELY MUTUAL OFFICE, The Norwich Union Life Society has no distinct body of Proprietors; the insurers at large are the recipients ot the savings of the institution : tbe premiums paid, being in fact only deposits, revert to those who contribute to them. RESOURCES. Irrespective of the immense annual revenue of this Society, gradually and surely on ihe increase, it possesses a reserve fund of £2,300,000 and upwards, available for its requirements. LOCAL INVESTMENT. The receipts of this Society are to be retained for investments in the Colony, thus affording to insurers all the advantages of a Local Institution, with the additional Security of a large and wealthy English Proprietory. KATES OF PREMIUM. These are framed as low as are consistent with the due safety of the Society. Its Actuary iB known to be one of the most competent authorities in England, the Court of Chancery having recently availed itself of his experience in these matters ; and although the premiums may be apparently higher than in some offices, assurers should not lose sight of the fact, that they receive them back, either in bonuses, or additions to sums assured,, and that iv insuring in this Society they also avail themselves ot the experience and safety of one that time has proved to he secure against all chances PARTICIPATION OF PROFITS. To meet one of the greatest wants of the day, the Norwich Union issues Policies in the nature of settlements, whereby a man in solvent circumstances, provide the matter is bona fide, may secure (withot the* risk of bankruptcy), a certain and direct provisions for his family, NO CHARGES' For Medical fees, Stamps, or„Policies. One-half the fir6t five years' premiums may remain unpaid upon whole Life Policies. Intending assurers are recommended to call upon the undersigned for prospectuses and further particulars. W. M.
