TENDERS are invite 1 for the SUPPLY and DELIVERY at foot ot o'd poles, of the following number of POLKS, between the undermentioned points, on the Telegraph Line from a point two miles Nelson side of the Wakamarin: io a point five miles short of the City of Nelson , SECTION NO. 1. From a. point two miles Nelson side of the Wakamarina to the Herenga bridge : IS>l 20-fcet poles. 8 inches square at butt, and 6 inches at top. Tenders to ftate price per pole for all heart of totara, or for any other description of timber, and time required to supply and deliver at foot of old poles. SECTION NO. 2. From the Hcrenga bridge to the foot of the Maungatapu, Nelson side: 107 poles, 16 feet long, 8 inches square at butt, and 6 inches square at top ; sawn or squared timber. Tenders to state price per pole for all heart of totara, or for any other description of timber, and lime required to supp'y and deliver at foot of old poles. SECTION NO. 3. From the foot of the Maungatapu, Nelson side, to a point about five miles short of Nelson; 58 pok 8, 20 feet long, 8 inches square at butt, and 6 inches square at top ; to be all heart of totara, and perfectly tree from sap, bad knots, shakes, or speckltd timber. Tenders to state price per pole, aud time required to supply and deliver at foot of old poles. Separate tenders will be received for each o the above sections, or one tender lor the whole but in any case the tenderer must define the price per pole for each section, and also time of delivery. Each tender must he accompanied by a deposit of £10, as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited, should any tenderer refuse to sign the contract in the event of his tender being accepted. Eacli tsuder must include the names of two (2) sureties for approval, who are willing to become bond for the due performance of the contract in the event of the tender being accepted, and must be accompanied by a notification to that effect, signed by the proposed sureties. Further information can be obtained at the Telegraph Offices, Wellington, Nelson, and Havelock. Tenders endorsed, "Tenders for supply and delivery ot poles for Nelson line," and addressed, " The General Manager, New Zealand Telegraph, Wellington," to be sent in not later than the 10th August, 1872.
