MOTUEKA ROAD BOARD.
To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail.
Sir — As it is desirable fchat every ex-member of the Motueka Road Board should be made acquainted with the legality or otherwise of their late proceedings in voting and appropriating moneys in trust to their own advantage, as per statement* of expenditure and comment thereon by the Provincial Auditor, and as it is quite possible that they may not have had the advantage of reading the Colonist, and your journal is widely circulated in these parts, it mar give them the opportunity of perusing, and judging for themselves what should.now be the proper step for them to
take. Doubtless through ignorance they did it, and, therefore, when they see thsir error, they will refund the said £29 10s. to the present Road Board, to be expended in thu manner for which it was collected, and to save further trouble. I am, &c , A Motueka Ratefater.
