A Chinaman was found on the premises of a fellow-countryman at Black Creek, Sandhurst, a few days ago,' and as John had some suspicions tbat his visitor was not there for any good purpose, he captured him by the tail. Tbe Mongolian however, was not to be so easily caught, for he immediately drew a knife, cut off the tail and decamped, leaving his hat and tail as a legacy for his would-be captor.
