Mr. Yogel gave notice of a Drawbacks Bill, Life Assurance Companies Bill, Public Trust Officers' Bill, Tramways Bill, nd Sharebrokers Amendment Act. Mr. Luckie moveß the reply to the speech. Auckland, July 16. Great excitement on account of rich specimens being found in the Caledonian mine. Shares up to £45. Vouderheyde publishes a telegram from Mr. Kaye, who says that he did not state to Dr. Bulmer that he was aware of smallpox being on board the Nebraska. Joseph Kinßey, who died lately at Dublin, has left £5000 to the Auckland Orphan Home, and £5000 for the support of clergymen at Auckland. Archibald Lamb has had his thigh broken hy an accident. A great fire has occurred at Shortland, on the south-west side of Pollen-street, from the Old Bank of New Zealand to Litchfield's and Barnett's. One mile of buildirjgs destroyed. No particulars yet.
