PROVINCIAL.

Wellington, July 15. A large public meeting was held on Saturday night, when resolutions were passed requesting the Government to place Auckland vessels ia quarantine for fourteen days. The Government declines to comply ou the ground that it would be necessary to declare both Auckland and Wellington infected ports, and it would be absurd to declare the former and not the latter, because there happened to be a few more cases there. The Wellington arrived yesterday, and v?as allowed alongside the wharf after being inspected by tbe Health Officer. Kaye has completely recovered, and is released from quarantine. Auckland, July 15.
