At n public meeting held at Grey mouth last night it was unanimously resolved that steps be taken to Lave the whole of the West Coast under one system of Provincial Government, the West.larsd County Council to be abolished. Harrison's proposals were condemned. A committee was appointed to draft a memorial, requesting: the co-operation of other places on the West Coast. The Scbieballion and Excelsior arrived at Auckland from London yesterday. A Mrs. Gardner, wife of a Restaurant Keeper, in Auckland, died last ui^ht of smallpox. From four to five huudred persons are being vaccinated daily. The Board of Health have applied for power to prosocute the Captain of the Nebraska for raakiDg false representations relative to the state of his ship.
