Messrs. M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co's steamer Tararua, from Melbourne via Hokitika and Greymouth, arrived outside the Boulder Bank at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Capt. From thence experienced strong S. and S.W. gales, with high sea, until nearing the land; then fresh N.E. breeze and thick weather; stopped engines at 3 o'clock until daylight, and arrived off Hokitika at 11 o'clock on the 13th, after a passage of 4 days 19 hours Was tendered for passengers and part of cargo the same afternoon, and for balance the following day, leaving for Greymouth at 4 p.m., and arriving there at 5.30. Was at once tendered and left for Kelson, arriving as above.
