The Anchor Line Co's s.s. Kennedy, Captain B. B. Creagh, left Nelson on Saturday, 18th inst., at 6 p.m., ior West Coast ports.; experienced light airs and calm weather on the passage to Westport, where she arrived at 4.30 p.m. on Sunday. On Monday, landed cargo and left at 8 p.m. for Hokitika; encountered heavy sea and strong N.W. winds on the passage, arriving there at 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday. Was detained until Thursday morning, owing to heavy fresh in the River, when she left at 8 a.m. for Greymouth, arriving there at 10 30 a.m. same day. Landed cargo, and was again detained, not being able to get a sufficient supply of coals. Left Greymouth on Sunday, at noon, very heavy sea on the bar, arriving at Westport at 9.30 p.m. same day; left at 12.30 p.m. on Monday, arriving here at 6 a.m. this morning. Reports the steamer Murray anchored under Bush End.
