We are indebted to Mr H. G. Jago, the purser of the steamship Alhambra, for the following report :— The s.s. Alhambra left the Melbourne and Hobson's Bay Railway Pier, on the 11th inst. at 3 p.m., cleared Port Philip Heads at 6 p.m., passed Sisters Islands the following day at 10 a.m., and arrived off. Hokitika at 10 a.m. on the 17th, sailed again at 5 p.m. Bame day, arriving in Greymouth at 7 p.m., left at 7.30 p.m. for Nelson/where she arrived at 4.30 p.m. on the 18th. Experienced westerly [winds the first two days, and light easterly winds the remainder of the passage from Melbourne, and fine calm weather on the Coast.
