ACCIDENT TO THE NEBRASKA.

; — lj. ___ The Wellington Post, of Saturday last, contains the following : — " Messrs. Johnston & Co., the agents for Mr. Webb, received a telegran from M'Meckan, Blackwood & Co. by the Omeo to-day, stating that a telegram from Mr. Webb had been received to the effect that the Nebraska had sailed on the 27th March, and had cracked her steam chest the first day out. She was accordingly compelled to return, and was to sail again on the 6th April. This telegram was forwarded by Mr. Webb from San Francisco to London, and thence via Galle to Melbourne." This would account for ten days' delay, but the mail is just three weeks behind its time at Auckland.
