Thiers on the occasion of closing the French Assembly for the Easter recess, said that order in the interior and peace abroad were assured to Prance; Europe is well disposed towards us. The House of Commons rejected Vernon Harcourt's motion to reduce the national expenditure. The English Press comments on the absence of any programme in Disraeli's speech at Manchester. Washington, 4th April. — The Foreign Committee of Congress recommended a suspension of action in the Eishery Bills, ovring to the condition of the Washington treaty.
