""Steamer Kennedy. — We are indebted to Mr. James Dillon, the chief officer of this vessel, for the following report :— The Anchor Line Co.'s s,s. Kennedy left Nelson at 2 p.m. on Monday, the 15th inst, experienced light N E. and strong S.W. winds on the passage to Westport where she arrived at 3 p.m. on the 16th, landed cargo on the 17th and left same day at 6 p.m. for Hokitika, crossed that bar at 4 a.m. next day, took in cargo and left again at 3 p.m. for Greymouth arriving there at 5.30 p.m., crossed the Grey bar on the 19th, landed cargo, took in 60 tons coal andlelt at 6 p.m. for Westport, arriving off the bar at midnight, went in at 4 a.m. on the 20th, landed cargo and left at 10 a.m. for Nelson where she arrived at 9 a.m. yesterday. Experienced strong S.E. winds on the passage up.
