PROSPECTUS OF THE TURNER GOLDMINING COMPANY TO BE Registered under the Mining Companies Limited Liabilities Act 0f 1865. and the Amended Acts of 1869-70. Japital £10,000. IT is proposed to form a Company for working the Reefs diocoverpd on Cape Jackson, in the Province of Mariboroueh. and recently prospected with very favorable results. The property consists of a Lease of 16_ Acres of Land granted under the Mining Le se Regulations for a term of 1 5 yf ars. The Reefs occur between soft sandstone and slate, affording great facility for extraction. Considerable work has been done by the Prospectors, viz.: Two shafts have been sunk, one 23 feet and the other 85 feet in depth. In the latter, at the depth of 55 feet, a cross cut his be^n driven for 52 feet, cutting three distinct bodies of quartz, all of them cold-bearing On the course of No. 1 a drive has been made 30 feet in length, and it has b a en proved by the tests applied that the 3 ield will average 2_ oz. of gold to the ton of stone ; and where it has also been driven on for a distance of 35 feet, at the 85 feet level, gold is freely to be seen in the stone. No timbering has yet been req"ired. Since the above work was concluded, th" Prospectors have succeeded in discovering on the property anothfr and distinct Reet. which has been opened out at short intervals for a distance of say 1,000 feet The stone is thickly impregnated wi»h gold, and has been estimated by competent judges to yield at least 7 oz. to the ton. At about 60 feet from the last-named reef another occurs, which is gold bearing, but which has not been prospected. The bearings of each of the above are the same, the course being N.W. and S.E. The Proprietors propose to part with their interest for 1,000 fully paid up Shares, and £600 in money — £300 to be paid on completion of the purchase, and £COO out of tbe first nett profits of the Mine. The Prospectors bind themselves not to sell any of their Shares before six months after the formation of the Company. The permanent Board of Directors shall consist of eight members, three of whom the Prospectors reserve to themselves the right to nominate, and this proportion, under all circumstances, to maintain All preliminary expenses, such as printing prospectus, adver ising, &c, shall be defrayed by the Company. On two-thirds of the Shares being applied for, a meeting will be called, a Deed of As»oci»tion submitted for approval and .i^nature, and Permanent Directors appointed.
