BRITISH AND FOREIGN BIBLE SOCIETY* APUELIC MEETING in connection with the above Society wi'l be held at the TEMPERANCE HALL, on TUESDAY EVENING NEXT, the 26th instant, at Half-past 7, when the Rev. B. BACKHOUSE, Travelling Agent for the Society, will be present to communicate information wiih reference to the obj ects and operations of the Society. Country Meetings will also be held as follows : — At Richmond, on the Evening of Wednesday, the 27th, at 7 o'clock. At Wakefield, do, do, Thursday, the 28th, at 7. At Motueka, do, do, Friday, the 29th, if the Agent's time permits. 635 NELSON CITY LOAN FOR GAS AND WATERWORKS. LENDERS will be received a* this Office until 1 MONDAY, the 75th day of April, 1872, for DEBENTURES, with Coupons attached, to the amount of FIF TEEN THOUSAND POUNDS, to be issued under the authority of the "Nelson City Loan Act, 1871." Each Debenture will be for the sum of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS, bearing SIX PER CENT. INTEREST, and will be issued in the form, and subject in all respects to the conditions as to security and payment of interesr, provided in the above-mentioned Act. The Debentures will be made Payable in Thirty Years from the date of issue, with interest at the above-mentioned rate, payable half-yearly at this Office. Tenders may be made for one or more Debentures, and must be forwarded under cover, addressed to the Provincial Treasurer, Nelson, and marked " Tender for Debentures."
