Race foe a Silver Cup presened by Messrs, Shaw, Savillo & Co , and £5 ; second prize, £7. Mr. Cress' Minnehaha ... I Messrs. Burn & Moore's Lightning ... 2 Mr. Ponsonby's Dolly Varden ... ... 3 This race is easily described. The three boats got away together, but the Minnehaha speedily forged ahead and rounded the upper buoy several lengths in advance of the Lightning the Dolly Varden a long way behind. This order was preserved throughout without a single change, and Mr. Cross' boat came in the winner by at least a mile.
