New Zealond flax, quiet; sold at 10 cenls (od. per lb, equal to £46 13s. 6d. per ton). : 3650. bales in stock. London, December 21. —Produce market less active ; prices irregular. Wool is quiet, but very firm. Tallow quiet. ; 40s. for sheep ; 46s 3d. for beef. _. San Francisco, January 6.— The last steamer brought 64,000 lbs. of wool, of which 61,000 lbs. went to Boston. It is supposed that Australian wool cannot be made to suit this market, unlesss the duty be removed. Some hopes are entertained that this will be done this session of Congress. . Orders sent to Australia for tallow have been countermanded in consequence of the duty of one per cent/ Flour. — Local brands, superfine, 5 dollars 75 cents to 6 dollars ; extra quality, 7 dollars, in sacks of 176 lbs. Wheat.— 2 dollars 10 cents to 2 dollars 30 cents per 100 lbs. . Barley. — 1 dollar 70 cents to 1 dollar 85 cents per 100 lbs. Oats.: — No sales. .
