The Anchor Line Co.'s s.s. Kennedy, arrived here yesterday afternoon at I o'clock. She left Nelson on Thursday, January 25, at 9 p.m., experienced lisrht variable winds on the passage to Westport, where she arrived at 6.30 p.m. on Friday. Saturday landed cargo and left ab 1 1 p.m. for Hokitika, arriving at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Monday landed and took in cargo, and left at midnight for Grey mouth, arriving off that port at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, could not cross the bar, there being no lights up ; 11 a.m. same day hove-up and crossed, finding only 5 feet water. Landed cargo on Wednesday and left Greymouth at 2 p.m., crossing the Buller Bar at 11 p.m. same day, on half flood with 9 feet water. Thursday landed a large quantity of merchandise lor Reef ton, and left at 2 p.m. for Nelson. Experienced light variable winds and very thick weather on the passage, arriving as above.
