We are indebted to Mr. L. Hart, purser of the s.s. Claud Hamilton, for the following report : — Tbe s.s. Claud Hamilton left Hobson's Bay at 4 p.m. on January 11. and cleared the Heads at 5.30 p.m.; expeiieuced light easterly winds on the run down, arriving at Hokitika at 4 p m on the 18th. Left Hokitika at 8 p in., and arrived off Greymouth at 10 p.m.; left again at 4.30 p.m. on the 19th, and arrived in Nelson at 4 p m. on the 20th We are indebted to Mr. B. B. Creagh, chief officer of the s.s. Kennedy, for the following report: — The Anchor Line Co.'s s.s. Kennedy arrived here this morning at 4 30. She left Nelson at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the 16th inst.; experienced strong S.W. winds on the passage to Westport, where she arrived at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, raining very heavy. On Thursday landed cargo, and left at 5 p.m. for Hokitika, wind S.W. Arrived at Hokitika afc 4.30 a.m. on Friday ; landed, and took in cargo for Greymouth and Westport; left at 3 p.m. for the Grey, arriving at 6 p.m. On Saturday landed cargo, and took in coals; left at 4 p.m. for Westport, arriving at 4 a.m. on Sunday; left at 7.30 a.ra. for Nelson, experienced strong SW. and S.E. winds on the passage, arriving as above.
