Mr. Curtis's Meeting. — Mr. Curtis will address the electoi'3 at the Provincial Hall at 8 o'clock this evening, when we may look for an interesting review of the late session. Cricket. — The match between the Richmond and Waimea West Clubs which was played yesterday resulted in a victory for the former, with six wickets to go down. Messrs. Shaw & Saville's Cup. — A handsome cup, presonted by Messrs. Sbaw, Saville & Co., to the Nelson Regatta Club is now- on view at Mr. West's shop, in Bridge-street. The Cup, which is of silver, has on one side three yachts in full sail, and on the other tho following inscription : — " 1872 " — then there is the house flag — "Presented by Messrs. Sbaw, Saville, & Co., of London. Won by ." It will form a very handsome prize, and will no doubt give rise to a keen competition. The police of Lyttelton have taken some decided steps to put a stop to a nuisance which has for some time past disgraced the town. They summoned a number of boys, who were brought before the Bench, charged with writing disgusting language on the walls, aud some of them were convicted and punished.
