Ckicket.-- We have received the scores made in a match recently played between the Richmond and Waimea West clubs, but must defer tlieir publication until to-morrow. Italian Opera Company. — This eagerly looked-for company arrived in the Taranaki this morning, and will perform at, the Oddfellows' Mall to-nighr, the overture commencing at 8 o'clock. A Runaway Horse and Cakt.~-A horse attached to au empty cart took fright aud galloped up Trafalgar-street this morning, accomplishing the whole length from Bridge-street to" the Church Hill, fortunately without causing any accident. Not being possessed of any great staying qualities as a galloper he soon knocked up and allowed himself to be secured. It is to he hoped that this will prove a warning to those who indulge in the dangerous practice of allowing their horses to stand unattended iv the streets.
