Caledonian Sports.— The refreshment room in the Grand Stiuid, and the sites for booths ou tbe ground ou which these sports will be held on New Year's Day, were disposed of at auction this morning by Messrs. Stavert and Co. for the sum of £35 10s. Nelson Regatta.— The coming regatla is likely to prove one of the most successful yet held in Nelsoo, and a considerable nmouut of interest is being displayed in the crews and boats that are to contend for the various prizes on Boxing Day, a holiday that is enjoyed in this town more than any other throughout the year, being devoted bs it always is to aquatic sports, in which the people of Nelson take a special delight. The Cup, presented to the Club by Messrs.
