The ss. Claud Hamilton, arrived at Nelson, from Melbourne via the Wtst Coast, this morning at 3 o'clock. Captain Clarke reports leaving Hobson's Bay at 2.30 p.m. on the 9th instant, and passed the Heads at 6 pin, Experienced first day calm weather, afterwards westerly winds on the run across, arriving off Hokitika at 330 p.m. on the 15th. She was immediately tendered by the s.s. Waipara. Left Hokitika at S p.m. on the 16th, and arrived off Greymouth at 5 p.m.; and left at 2 a.m. on the 17th, arriving in Nelson as above.
