Stoke Farmers' Club. — The monthly meeting of members of this Club will be held at Stoke on Monday evening next,. at tbe usual place aud hour. Wesleyan Missions. — Sermons in aid of these Missions will be preached in the Wesleyan Church to-morrow, in the morning by the Rev. D. Dolamore, and in the evening by the Rev. P. Calder. A public meeting in connection with the same work will be held on the following evening. ■ Nelson Infant School. — A presentation of a handsome inkstand was recently made by her former pupils to Mrs. Cooke, the late mistress of tbis school, as a mark of their, respect and affection for her. The appointment of assistant teacher has been ' conferred upon Miss Witney, who "passed a satisfactory examination, for the post.
