CRICKET.

The cricket season, which has commenced unusually early this year, was opened at Motueka on Saturday last by a match between the married and single members of the club, in which the former appear to have got the best of it, although, owing to the night closing in before it was finished, the game was declared to have been a drawn one. Among the married eleven there appears the name of a Maori, who, in his second innings, seems to have rather bothered the bowlers. The following is the score : — Married. 1 st innings. 2nd innings.
