We are indebted to Mr. B. B. Creagh, chief officer of the s.s. Kennedy, for the following report: — The Anchor Line Co.'s s.s. Kennedy arrived here last night at 11 o'clock. She left Kelson at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27th. Experienced strong S.W. winds and head sea on the passage to Westport, where she arrived at 9 p.m. on Thursday. Landed and took in cargo on Friday, and left at 10 30 p.m. for Hokitika. Experienced light S.E. winds on the passage, arriving off that bar at 8 a.tn. on Saturday. Crossed the bar at 9 a.m., and tound it "very narrow and crooked. Made fast, and landed 64 tons cargo; took in a quantity of merchandise for Greymouth. and Hokitika, and left at 10 a.m. on Sunday for the Grey, arriving these at noon. Landed cargo and took in coal on Monday, and sailed at 1 p.m. for Westport, attiring there at 10.30 p.m. same day. landed cargo and left at midnight for Nelson; experienced strong N.E. and N.W. winds on the passage to this port, arriving as above. She sails again on Thursday.
