MAILS CLOSE. For Tadmor and Wangapeka — Close every Tuesday and Friday, at 2.30 p.m., and arrive every Tuesday and Friday, at 11 a.m. For Wakapuaka — Close every Wednesday and Saturday, at 2.30 p.m.; arrive every Wednesday and Saturday, at 11 a.m. Note.— -Arrangements have been made for an exchange of direct mails between New Zealand and Italy via Suez. Correspondence for the Continent of Europe can now be sent to the Postoffice at Brindisi for despatch thence. The rates of postage can be learned on application at any postoffice. The rate of postage from New Zealand to the United Kingdom, wee Brindisi, has been raised from 9d. to lOd. per J oz. On and after lst October Postage Labels at Id. 2d., and 6d., will be issued of a different color from those now in use. , SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
