o MAILS CLOSE. For the United Kingdom, America, and the Continent of Europe, and for New Plymouth, Auckland, Fi'i, and Honolulu — per contract steamer Wellington, this evening, at 8 o'clock. Newspapers at 7 p.m. For Tadmor and Wangapeka — Close every Tuesday and Friday, at 2.30 p.m., and arrive every Tuesday and Friday, at 11 a.m. For Wakapuaka — Close every Wednesday and Saturday, at 2.30 p.m-; arrive every Wednesday and Saturday, at 11 a.m. v Note. — Arrangements have been made for an exchange ctf direct mails between. New Zealand and Italy via Suez. Correspondence for the Continent of Europe can now be sent to the Postoffice at Brindisi for despatch thence. The rates of postage can be learned on application at any postoffice. ' The rate of postage from New Zealand to the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, has been raised from 9d. to lOd. per § oz. . .
