Public' Meeting-. — A public meeting, for the purpose of taking into consideration the Education Bill, is to be held at the Provincial Hall, to-morrow evening, at half-past seven. Scientific Association. — There will be a meeting this evening in the Government Buildings, at eight o'clock, for the election of new members, and other matters. A full attendance is requested. Wintee Evening Lectures. — Mr. J. C. Richmond's second lecture on " Communism, Socialism, and the Idea of Property "is postponed till Friday,' the 22nd instant. We notice that Mr. T. S. Wymond •will arrive to-morro-v, by the Gothenburg, with a large stock of new summer drapery, and we are requested to state that, these goods Lave been so advantageously selected as to offer Bpecial inducements to intending purchasers. — Advt. Dbawing Rook Entertainment. — The amateur Christy Minstrels will give their second entertainment to-night, the programme being the same as on Monday night with the exception of a new farce. The favorable impression created by the Minstrels on their first appearance,together with the reduced prices, of admissionshould ensure a good house. We have been requested by Messrs. M. L: Marks and Co. to state that the balance of their stock is expected to arrive by the steamer Phoebe, due here to-morrow. Particulars will be published in a future issue of this paper. We have also been requested to state that for the convenience of mechanics and those engaged in trade, they will re-open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7to 9 o'clock p.m. They will therefore be open this evening as above.— Advt. , , ; , .
