To The Editor or the Nelson Evening Mail Sir — In reference to the lecture I delivered on Friday last on "The Manuscript sources of the New Testament," will you be bo good as to give circulation to the following proposal :— The attention with which it was received makes mo think that some of those present, as well as others who were unable to . come^ would; like to hear something further on the subject, and as I liave accuniulated facts and information thereon which I was quite unable to make use of then in the two hours of- the lecture, I propose, on Wednesdays, in the month of October, to deliver four lectures on the same subject fully considered. I propose to deliver them iv the afternoon from 4 to 5 for the benefit of ladies who do not wish to be out at night, and others whose engagements will allowttieir attending thenyahd^to, repeat the i same lecture the same day at ttie'latehour of eight for -those engaged in business. The lectures would be free and open to all, excepting children,; and would give jne;an,oppor-; tunity of .answering questions tba't might be pat to me by those attending; * '" ' ' * The course would, comprise I. The earliest form of the Books of the N"ew Testament, "with their history up to Origen.
