PROJECTED DEPARTURES.

We are indebted to Mr. B. B. Creagh, chief officer of the Anchor Line Cos. s.s. Kennedy, for the following report .—The s.s. Kennedy arrived here on Saturday evening at 6.30 p.m. She left Nelson at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday 24th inst. Brought up at Totaranui at 6 p.m. same day, blowing hard from S.W. Got under weigh at 9 a.m. on Friday and proceeeded on the voyage against heavy head sea and wind; at 11 p.m. same day off Rocks Point, wind shifted to N.W. On Saturday the wind and sea increased, and the ■weather very thick. At 4 a.m. turned round and proceeded northward. Eeefed the canvass at 6 a.m. and ran for the Buller. At 8 a.m. sighted the steeples; put her head off the land and stopped the engines. Crossed the Buller Bar at 5 p.m. with heavy sea and strong fresh in the river. Owing to the inclemency of the weather was detained at Westport until Tuesday evening at 10 p.m. when Bhe left for Hokitika. Arrived at that port at 7.30 a.m. on Wednesday. Landed large cargo and left at 8 p.m. for Greymouth, arriving there at 10.30 p.m. same night. Left Greymouth at 10 p.m. on Thursday, arriving ofi the Buller at 6 a.m. on Friday.' Crossed the Bar through a very heavy sea Left Westport at 10 p.m. same day, arriving as above. Experienced light winds on the passage. The Kennedy reports having towed the schooner Canterbury off the beach at Westport.
