;We are indebted to Mr. B. B. Creagh, chief officer of the Anchor Line Co's. steamer Kennedy, for the following report :— The s.s. Kennedy arrived alongside the wharf at 1.45 this morning. She left Nelson on Sunday, 9th inst., at 2 a.ro., at 8 a.m. same day brought up under Bush End . owing to heavy S.W. gale and sea; got under weigh at 3 a.m . on Tuesday and proceeded on the voyage against a heavy head sea: arrived at Westport on Wednesday at 3 a.m.; landed ' cargo and left at 5 . p.m. for Hokitika, arriving there at 6am. on Thursday; landed and took in cargo, and lett for Greymouth at 8 am. on Friday, arriving there at 10.15 a.m ; landed and took in cargo and 40 tons coal; left Greymouth at 8 a.m. < on* Saturday, arriving alongside ; the Westport ' wharf 8.30 p.m. same day; left Westport at 9 a.m. oh Sunday; experienced strong S W". wind • and : heavy sea on the passage to this Port, arriving as above. Having made the run up in 16^ hours. Signalized the schooner "Maid of Erin," bound from Melbourne for Westport. The Kennedy is advertised to leave again on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
