The following is a summary of events from the 22ad of April : — The Commune claimed to have recaptured aud barricaded Neuilly. Preparations are making to resist a general attack by the Versailles troops, Complete investment of Paris. Projected armies at Neuilly. On the 24th the inhabitants were allowed to leave the town. The belligerents in Paris took advantage of the armistice to repair the barracks and construct others. , Notice was given to the Chemin de Fer dv Nord on the 26th that the blockade of Paris had commenced. Prince Bismarck in Reichtag, declares that the Paris forts can only be surrendered after a final conclusive peace, even if the first instalment of the indemnity; had been previously paid. . Thiers replied to the Freemasons that be desires war to end, but France will not capitulate to insurgents. Disorders have occurred in London before the Houses of Parliament in consequence of the Lowe Budget. Petitions were presented from the working-men against the lucifer match tax which. The arbitrators will meet at Geneva; the treaty is for ten years, both parties undertake henceforth to prevent a recurrence of incidents like that of the Alabama. Obituary. — Sir John Herschel. LATEST SPECIAL REUTER'S TO GEEVILLB. Versailles; May 13.— The Government troops occupied fort Vauvres to-day, which the insurgents evacuated. Fifty guns and eight mortars were captured.
