We are indebted to Mr. H. G. Jago, the purser of the steamer Omeo, for the following report : — Messrs. M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co.'s s.s. Omeo, arrived from Melbourne via Bluff Harbor at 5 o'clock this morning. She lefc Hobson's Bay Railway Pier at 3 p.m, on the 21st, and passed Swan Island at the same hour on the following day. Made Preservation Inlet .at 6a. in. on the 26th. When nearing the land the, ship was hove to for five hours, owing to a dense fog and fierce N.W. gale. Arrived, in .Bluff Harbor at 3 p.m same day. Left there at 5 p.m. on the 27th., and had fine weather on the Coast, to .arrival. Arrived at Port Chalmers on the 28th at 7.30 a.m., left on May 1, at 4 p.m., arriving. at Lyttelton on the 2nd at 1.20 p.m.; left again on the 3rd at 7.30 p.m., for Wellington, arriving at 6 a.m on the sth; left again at' 4.30 p.-oi: .the same day for Nelson,,arrivihg as .above! . During, the passage from ' Wellington she experienced a strong N. gale. . , r . \ .
