In order to encourage the exhibition of articles IT ,of Provincial manufacture, Special Judges will be appointed to examine and report on all such exhibits and to recommend for prizes such as may be deemed meritorious. In this class will be included Farm Implements, Harness made from New Zealand materials, Baskets, Candles, Casks of New Zealand timber, Leather, Mats, Preserved Fruits, Soap, Rope, Tweeds, Twine, Wines from. New Zealand produce. No prizes will be awarded for any of the above not considered meritorious by the judges, who will also be instructed to recommend for extra prizes anything in their opinion meritorious, although not classified as above. All horse stock which are to be exhibited must be bridled or haltered. Subscribers will be entitled to compete in any class without payment of entrance fee. but from non-subscribers a fee of 2s. 6d. for each entry will be demanded It being desirable to economise time on the show day, it is requested that, when practicable, entries may be made previous to that day with any of the Stewards, who, however, will receive entries until half-past Eleven o'clock of the day of the show, at which hour, to avoid interfering with the duties of the Judges, the gates will be closed. Entries may, however^ be made until Twelve o'clock, on payment of Is. extra on each entry. Parties too late to make entries may place such articles as they bring on to the ground, but will not be allowed to compete. Nothing placed for exhibition will be allowed to be removed until Four p.m., except under special circumstances. The public will be excluded from the grounds while the Judges are deciding on their awards, but will be admitted without fee at Two o'clock. Any amimal exhibited for competition must be the bontt fide property of the exhibitor, and all articles in classes F. G, and H, must have be'en raised or made by the exhibitor. ; •.;•.- ■■■ ;'l T. J.
