Sib — Allow me through the columns of your paper to express my humble aud heartfelt thanks to our worthy Magistrate for exercising the power he possesses of punishing cruelty towards the poor dumb animals, and I trust it will be a warning to othVs |o deter them from unkiudness.to all a\irrtals. I can assure you, Sir, "upon visiting the poor dog belonging lo Mr. Grauf, and seeing one of his eyes quite kuocked out by a stone it would draw a tear of sympathy from the hardest and most callous heart.
