Nelson Evening Mail MONDAY, MARCH 20, 1871.

Stoke Farmers' Club. — The first ploughing match under the pattonage of the above club, is advertised to take place nt Mr. Condell's farm at Stoke, to-morrow. We wish the club every success in this their first endeavor to promote these highly useful competitions, which have a decided tendency to elevate the ploughman above the mure drudgery of his wurk, aud to. induce him to look upon it as something requiring both study and skill.
