PIGEON MATCHES.
Two matches took place on the race course on Saturday afternoon, the competitors being Messrs. Maclean, Beaumont, Greenfield, and Stavert. The following were the scores made iv the first match: — Stavert - - - 1 1 0 1 1 I I—6 Greenfield - - - 0 1 1 1 1 1 I—6 Beaumont - - - 1 1 1 0 1 1 o—s Maclean - - - 1 1 1 0 1 1 o—s On shooting off, Mr. Stavert killed two birds to Mr. Greenfield's one. A second match was then shot with the following result : — Beaumont - - - 1 1 1 1 I—s Greenfield - - - -11111—5 Stavert - - -10 11 I—4 Maclean - - - 1 1 1 1 o—4 On^hooting off, Mr. Greenfield killed 'both Ms- birds while |Mr. Beaumont only succeeded in getting\ue. A third match was ikep. sj^Ojt by JVJessrs Greenfield and Stavert, and wou by the former gentlemau who killed both his birds.
