The Anchor Line Co. steamer Charles Kdvvard arrived at the Albion wharf this morning at halfpast ten, from ihe Wevt Coast. She left here on the sth instant, and arrived at Westport early on Monday the 6th, discharged a lar-ie cargo, and left at 9 p.m., reaching Greymouth on Tuesday morning. Sailed at 10 a.in. on Wednesday, arriving at Hokitika a!; noon. Was detained there three days hy a heavy sea on the bar and very bad weather. Left at 1 p rn. on Saturday, crossing Greymouth b.r nt 3 p.m. Sailed at 4 p.m on Si-;iii--y *, arrived at Westpo't early on Monday, and left for Nelson at 3 p.m. Experienced fine weather on the passage up, and light, head wind. She brings thirty-six passengers for this port and a smalt cargo.
