Calder ; 1 case wine, R Levein. The Anchor Line s.s. Kennedy, Captain Whitwell, arrived from the West Coast at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday She left Nelson on Saturday the 21st at 630 p.m., arriving at Motueka at 8.15 p.m. Received six tons cargo, and sailed again at 9.30 p.m. Passed the s.s. Murray at 7 a.m. on Sunday, and arrived off Westport at 6.30 p.m.; at 10 p.m. crossed the bar, towing in the brigantine Ceres. Discharged 42 tons cargo on Monday, and sailed at midnight for Hokitika, which bar she crossed at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Discharged 36 tons cargo, took in 4 tons coals, and a quantity of cargo for Greymouth, and sailed at noon on Wednesday, arriving in Greymouth at 3 p.m. Landed 22 tons cargo, and sailed at 2 pro. on Thursday for Westport, crossing that bar at midnight. Towed out the Ceres at 1 a.m. and returned to Westport for the night. Left again at 2.30 p.m. and arrived as above. The Kennedy leaves for the West Coast ports to-morrow at 5 p.m.; she will call at the Karamea on the return trip should the weather prove favorable.
