Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika — per Charles Edward, to-morrow, at 4.30 p.m. For the United Kingdom via Suez and Brindisi, and for Australia, India, China, Cape of Good Hope, the Continent of Europe, on Saturday, the 21st instant Note. — In consequence of the increasing difficulties which attend the transmission through France of overland mails, addressed via Marsailles, the Postmaster- General of London has determined on sending mails so addressed, until further notice, wa Brindisi, Brenner, Prui-sia, and Belgium. The rates of postage to be charged in New Zealand on correspondence for the United Kingdom, via Marseilles and Brindisi, . will, therefore, be as follows : — Bates via Marseilles and Brindisi. Letters. — Not exceeding \ ounce, Is. 3d, ; exceeding |- ounce and not exceeding 1 ounce, 2s. 6d. ; exceeding 1 ounce and not exceeding \\ ounce, 3s. 9d ; and so on Is. 3d. for each i ounce or fraction of ounce.
