The Anchor Line favorite steamer Charles Edward arrived at the Albion Wharf this morning, at llo'clock. after a rapid passage from Westport of eighteen hours. She reports leaving Nelson last Saturday, at 10 p.m., with a full cargo and 54- passengers ; experienced light winds and rain, and arrived off the Buller after an 18 hours' passage, crossing the bar on Sunday, aj; 9 p.m. Left on Monday, at 11 p.m., reaching Greymouth on Tuesday morning. Sailed for Hokitika on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., arriving there at 1 p.m. Left at noon on Thursday and returned to the Grey ; leaving again at daybreak on Friday and arrived at Westport, at noon. Left Westport at 4.30 p.m., experienced head winds on the passage up, and arrived as above. She brings 32 passengers for this port, and sails again for the West Coast early next week.
