MOTUEKA FARMERS' CLUB.

0 At a meeting of tho club held iv the Motueka Institute on the 12th ul.t., the following resolutions were passed : — That the Club cirry out as soon as possible t.he following programme : — Isf. To collect and diffuse amongst the members of the club the best informa.tion attainable, by procuring some of the best papers and periodicals devoted to farmiug. 2nd. To invite gentlemen (who may be able and willing) to lecture on soils, 'manures, and stock, or on any subject that would prove interesting and useful to farmers. 3rd. To endeavor to procure change of seed, both of grain, aud potatoes of the best quality. 4th.. To take the earliest and best means of improving the breed of stock. sth. To take into consideration the best means of establishing a market for the disposal of produce raised by the cjub. Eesoived, That the public be invited to join the club, those who desire it, as tiouorary members, tbe subscription of such members not to be less than teu shillings per anuum. The Secretary read a paper on the usefulness of Furmers' Clubs, and received a vote of thanks from the members. The club met again on the 2nd inst., when the following gentlemen were elected members, making iv all 26 : — Messrs. Daly, Cross, Gower, Worthiugton, Malpas, and Major' Horneman. Owing to New Year's Day heiug kept ou this day, the attendance w^s very thin, in consequence of wbich, aft&r reading some interesting extracts fromim American and English paper, the club adjourned till Monday uext, the 9th inst.
