Mail for Marlborough. — The time of closing the overland mail for Marlborough has been altered from this afternoon to to-morrow at half-past. four.. San Francisco Mail.— The mail from England via California was due at Auckland yesterday, so that in the eveut of its arriving at its proper time wemay expect it here any time after io-oight. The Volunteers.-*— A special meeting of the Town companies of Volunteers is called for this evening, by Captains Pitt and Sharp, for the purpose of considering the advisability or otherwise of the members of these corps "further continuing their services to the Government. The meeting will take -place at the Nelson Hotel, at half-past seven. . Collingwood. — The Lady Barkly which arrived from Collingwood this morning, brings news that Coppe? has been found on the Decimal Company's claim, being in an exact line with the lode discovered on the ground taken up by the Pioneer Company. The results of the present crushing at the Perseverance mine are expected next week.
