The Nelson Evening Mail. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1870. SUPREME COURT.
O' Sittings in Banco. | [Before His Honor Mr. Justice Richmond.] In October last, Mr. Fell, on behalf of William Cooksey, one of the land purchasers at Wangapekfi, obtained a rule nisi for a mandamus to compel H. C. Daniell, Commissioner of Crown Lands, to prepare and deliver to the said William Cooksey a Crown Grant of certain lands purchased by hira at Wangapeka. This day having been appointed for arguing the case, Mr. Acton Adams, for H. C. Daniell, appeared to show cause against the rule, but the counsel on both sides not being ready to proceed with the argument, the Court, by consent, adjourned the hearing until Friday, 27th January, 1871.
