CORRESPONDENCE.

To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir — I beg to correct an error in your issue of yesterday, concerning the ruu between the s.s Murray, and Kennedy. The Murray left Westport seventeen minutes ahead of the Kennedy, and arrived here thirty-three minutes before her, thus beating her by sixteen minutes. The Kennedy, last trip, was cleaned and painted, and her machinery overhauled, and had the Murray had the same advantage she would have beaten her by the usual time, namely, one hour and ahalf. I am, -fee, A. Palmer, Master of the s.s Murray. Nelson, December 2, 1870.
