Sib, -I observed in your paper of vesterday, a' letter *,isrnt d ** Long Stop " s-uggestinsi th.u a tent should be piovided for the ladies at the rricket match which is to take place to-morrow, between the Nelson and Wellington plajers. With thi- proposal I entirely ayree, but I tliink that this and otlnr expenses of the match should not tall upon tlie younsr men who from tlieir skll may be sei cted to piay on the Nel.-on side, but that, ihe merchants, tradesmen, and other inhabitants ot tlie tnwn should put their han s into their pockets and provide the necessary funds for that purpose.
