The Anchor Line Co's s.s. Kennedy, Captain Whitwell, arrived yesterday at 2.50 p.m. She left Nelson on Wednesday last, at 3 p.m.; encountered fresh S.W. breeze and arrived off Westport at 7 p.m. on Thursday, crossing the bar/at 3 a.m on Friday. Left Westport at 7 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived as above. She will be despatched for the usual Coast ports at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. : The s.s. Murray, Captain Palmer, left Nelson for Westport, via Motueka, on Thursday, the 10th inst , at midnight, and arrived off Westport on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Discharged cargo and left for Grey at midnight, arriving there at midday on Sunday. Discharged cargo, took in a full load of coals for Flokitika, and left at midnight on Monday, arriving at 2.30 a.m. on Tuesday. Discharged coals and cargo, took in full load of timber for Westport, and arrived there on Friday morning. Left Westport at 6.-J0 p.m. for Nelson, in company with the s.s. Kennedy, arriving here, after a fine calm trip, one hour and fourteen minutes before the Kennedy.
