Wesleyan Missions. — The Anniversary Sermons will be preached ia the Wesleyan Church, Hardy-street, to-mor-row, morning and evening. The public meeting will be held on .Monday evening, at 7 o'clock. Scientific Association. — At a meeting of this Society held ou Thursday evenins: last, Dr. Williams in the chair, the Lord Bishop of Nelson was nominated as Governor in connection with the affiliation of the Association lo the New Zealand Institute. Fokgery. — On both of the charges of tampering with vouchers which we mentioned yesterday as having been brought against Francis Harris, the prisoner was committed to take his trial at the next session of the Supreme Court. Gas Supply. — A meeting of the ratepayers to take into consideration the best means of supplying Nelson with gas, is j called by the chairman of the Board of Works, for Monday eveniug, at tho Provincial Hall. Perseverance Company. — An extraordinary meeting ofthe^* shareholders will be held on M/ j*Hf_ff^y{ffi"g •pf>vt r fr>r the purpose of "taking into consideration the report of Mr. J. C. Richmond, which was published in tha Examine? this morning, and may be had on application at the office of the company ; and also to elect a director in the place of Mr. Goulstone, resigned. Assembly Room. — Monday's programme was repeated at the Assembly Room last night, when Miss Bowring delighted her audience once more with her splendid acting as Lady Macbeth. The other portions of the programme were played with much spirit, and were deserving of a far better house. Another performance will be given to-night, comprising the comedy " How to rule a Wife," selections from " Macbeth," and the laughable burlesque entitled "Aladdin, or the Wonderful Scamp." A person just down from the Wairau goldfield, assures us that he saw and weighed a nugget of unusual size a few days ago, found in Bartlett's Creek. The weight named was 16 ozs. 8 dwts., and the Uuder was a man named Welsh, alias the " Flower of Wheat." We have also been shown a quantity of shotty gold found at Mount Patriarch. — Express, Oct. 22.
