STOKE SCHOOL.

To the Editor or the Nelson Evexing Maii. Sir —A statement was made to the Local Committee of Education, Stoke, to the effect that we took our children away from the school because they were not making satisfactory progress in their education, and as such a statement is likely to injure the teacher —we beg to give it an unqualified denial. The boys referred to had attained their 14th year and were required at home. We are yours, &c, John Doidge, Enoch Jellyman.
